Inspiration for us all......

I had the pleasure of interviewing Surrey shooter Ken Edwards the other day who I was introduced to at the Police Shoot at Bisley but had seen shoot a few times before at my club Pirbright CSC. Ken first started shooting in the early 1960's and has shot mainly Skeet & Sporting ever since. He shot a 99 at Skeet and says he "can still see low 6 floating away to this day.....".

The remarkable thing about Ken is that not only is he 83 but he only has one arm following a motorbike accident in 2003. His left arm was removed in 2007 and Ken has succesfully adapted his shooting style so that he can continue with the sport he so clearly loves.

Being a retired engineer, Ken designed a piece of equipment which enables him to load his ultralight guns safely and he even reloads his own cartridges...!

On the day we met at Bisley, Ken shot a 68/100 so he's no slouch at Sporting either.....

Thanks Ken, see you at Pirbright soon.

Richard
