Richard's Diary.....Hornet Shooting Ground

This week's tour of Clubs took me to Hornet Shooting Ground in Long Crendon, Nr Aylesbury, Bucks where I met with Kevin Grey who has run the ground since 1990.

Hornet SG is a CPSA Registered Ground and holds registered shoots and open shoots on the 2nd & 4th Sundays of the month and specialises in English Sporting & FITASC disciplines.

The ground is situated within a 4 acre site in the centre of Notley Farm and utilises a large woodland copse where the Clubhouse will be found and overlooks the open farmland and beyond to the Chiltern Hills to the Southwest.

It is a great location for shooting and offers a wide variety of targets with some shot from high platforms providing great views over the surroundings (see below taken from Stand 9).

For the shooter looking for the more challenging targets Kevin has a FITASC layout which many believe to be the ultimate sporting targets so if that's your bag then check out their fixtures section on their website www.go-clayshooting.co.uk

Rest assured whether it is sporting or FITASC you'll be assured of a warm welcome so don't hesitate to contact Kevin on 07702 243308 or e-mail him on kevin@go-clayshooting.co.uk for further information.
PS If you are a C Class in English Sporting or an Unregistered shooter and wish to take part in the CPSA Clubman Classic League then speak to Kevin and get your name down on the Hornet SG team sheet!!
