Richard's Diary....Kibworth Shooting Ground

The second part of my trip to Leicestershire took me to Kibworth Shooting Ground on the Main A6 at Kibworth Beauchamp where I met with the General Manager Rose Thomas and her Ground Manager Matt Richmond.
Kibworth SG is a CPSA Registered Ground and occupies a site of approx. 30 acres with multiple Clay shooting layouts and two air rifle layouts along with a large Clubhouse with Cafe area and two retail sections supplying everything for the Clay shooter and Air rifle shooter. The ground is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm, late nights on Thursdays during the Summer till 8pm and Sundays from 9am to 3pm so plenty of opportunites to get to the ground and get some shooting in!!

Overall they have about 700 members with about 500 of those as dedicated Clay shooters and membership costs £40 for the first year and then £35 thereafter which gets you the usual discounts at the desk on your round of shooting.

Matt took me for a quick tour of the ground and as a Sporting shooter I'm always interested in a grounds Sporting layout and Kibworth offered some excellent looking targets shot over water and from on top of high banks down into quarry like areas. Unfortunately I didn't get time to shoot the layout but I'll definately make time on my next visit.


The ground offers a 100 bird Sporting Layout, 2 FITASC layouts, 2 Compak Layouts, 2 DTL & 2 Skeet Ranges so plenty to get stuck into.
